Doris Kaminski was born and raised in New York and came to live in Australia as a young woman. Early in her career she lived in England where She studied at the Morley College in London and at the Maidstone School of Art in Kent. She has taught art privately, demonstrated painting and has been selected to judge many important art exhibitions.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW and was the winner of the Medal of Distinction, the highest honour given by that society. She is an intuitive painter who enjoys the immediacy of the water-based mediums and college.
